Amer Jafri vs Ibrahim Nahdi

Boxing Daily Report from the Jordan National Finals 2020,  taking place on 01/04/2020 from Irbid, Jordan:

The Irbid venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Bantamweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Amer Jafri (12 - 2) who hails from Amman, Jordan and Ibrahim Nahdi(13 - 2) from Irbid, Jordan.  

Round 1: 

Nahdi stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Jafri lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Nahdi walks Jafri down, trapping him on the ropes.  Nahdi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Jafri tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Nahdi attempts to land a cross, but Jafri slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Jafri tries to keep the action at long range.  Jafri sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  
Nahdi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Nahdi steps away from his opponent.  Jafri finds the target with a jab.  
Nahdi lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Jafri steps away from his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  Jafri tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Jafri feints a right hook, and then is on target with a cross.  
Nahdi pivots to the left of his opponent.  Jafri finds the target with a jab.  Jafri tries to land a jab, but Nahdi sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Jafri's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jafri's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Jafri sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Jafri throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Nahdi pivots to the left of his opponent, but Jafri lands with a sharp jab.  
Jafri steps away from his opponent and lands with a solid jab.  
Jafri steps to the outside.  Jafri sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Nahdi pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nahdi throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Nahdi gets on the inside and manouvers Jafri onto the ropes.  Jafri throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Nahdi's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!
