Carlos Tovar vs Juan Carmen

Boxing Daily Report from the Nicaragua National Finals 2020,  taking place on 11/04/2020 from Masaya, Nicaragua:

The Masaya venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Carlos Tovar (7 - 6) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Juan Carmen(13 - 2) from Leon, Nicaragua.  

Round 1: 

Tovar sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Tovar tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Carmen gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Carmen closes the distance.  Carmen sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Carmen throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Tovar's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Tovar steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Tovar hits home with a stinging jab.  
Carmen manouvers Tovar onto the ropes.  Tovar hits home with a left hook.  
Carmen feints a right hook, but Tovar does not fall for it and lands with a right uppercut.  
Tovar feints a right, and then throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Carmen closes the distance.  Carmen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Carmen throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Carmen steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Carmen advances into close range.  Tovar drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Carmen pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Carmen pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Carmen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Tovar hits home with a right hook.  
Carmen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Carmen attempts to land a left hook, but Tovar parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Carmen advances into close range.  Carmen voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Tovar accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Carmen.  
Tovar sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Tovar drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Tovar attempts to land a left uppercut, but Carmen sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Tovar digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Tovar is looking to keep his distance and throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Tovar's ribs.  
Tovar closes the distance.  Tovar sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Carmen drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Tovar is looking to keep his distance and lands a stiff jab.  
Carmen steps inside.  Tovar sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Carmen is on target with a sharp right hook.
