Olindo Ruedas vs Angel Cornelio

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 05/11/2037 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Olindo Ruedas (4 - 2) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Angel Cornelio(6 - 11) from Quito, Ecuador.  

Round 1: 

Ruedas gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Cornelio lands a cross.  
Cornelio steps away from his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ruedas is looking to close the distance.  Cornelio lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Ruedas steps inside.  Cornelio drives a right uppercut into Ruedas's ribcage.  
Ruedas advances into close range.  Cornelio tries to land a left hook, but Ruedas blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Cornelio's ribs.

Cornelio is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Ruedas is looking to close the distance and walks Cornelio into a corner.  Ruedas hits home with a right hook.  
Ruedas lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Cornelio feints a right hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.
