Zafa Quadri vs Lyuben á Rusev

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 08/11/2037 from New Delhi, India:

The New Delhi venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Zafa Quadri (7 - 6) who hails from New Delhi, India and Lyuben á Rusev(1 - 5) from Varna, Bulgaria.  

Round 1: 

Quadri pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Rusev lands with a stinging jab.  
Quadri finds the target with a jab.  
Quadri steps inside.  Quadri pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two right hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Quadri is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Rusev attempts to land a cross, but Quadri slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Quadri pivots to the side of his opponent, but Rusev connects with a left hook.  
Quadri closes the distance.  Quadri pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Rusev drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Quadri backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Rusev accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Quadri.  Rusev lands a right hook.  
Quadri connects with a firm left hook.  
Quadri gets on the inside.  Quadri goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Rusev to the neutral corner.  He lectures Quadri but does not take away a point.  
Rusev quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Rusev advances into close range.  Quadri connects with a stinging right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Quadri's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
