Ian Smith vs Leeroy Trail

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 12/01/2038 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ian Smith (54(1) - 7) who hails from New York City, USA and Leeroy Trail(0 - 8) from Oceanside, USA.  

Round 1: 

Smith pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Smith voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Trail tries to tag Smith on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Smith gets on the inside.  Trail throws a right uppercut, but Smith clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Smith pushes his forearm into Trail's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Smith about fouling.  
Trail tries to land a cross, but Smith dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Smith gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Smith lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Smith is on target with a jab.  Smith throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Smith lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Smith gets on the inside.  Trail pivots to the right of his opponent, but Smith drives a sharp left hook into Trail's liver.  
Trail pivots to the right of his opponent, but Smith lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Smith steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Smith lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Smith is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Smith lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Trail quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Trail throws a right hook, but Smith holds on to his opponent.  Smith tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Trail's kidney. Trail leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Trail throws a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Smith advances into close range.  Trail hits home with a left hook.  
Smith lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.

Smith tries to land a jab, but Trail blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Smith's body.  
Smith steps inside and lands a left hook.  
Smith advances into close range.  Trail throws a left hook, but Smith clinches his opponent.  Smith uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Trail's kidney. Smith leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Smith gets on the inside.  Trail pivots to the left of his opponent, but Smith lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Smith lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Trail attempts to land a cross, but Smith blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut to Trail's body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Smith's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid. Trail's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!
