Firudin Alekserov vs Ian Rees

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 30/01/2038 from Dushanbe, Tajikistan:

The Dushanbe venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Firudin Alekserov (23 - 4) who hails from Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Ian Rees(20 - 19) from Madison, USA.  

Round 1: 

Rees throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Alekserov is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Alekserov closes the distance.  Alekserov retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Rees attempts to land a right uppercut, but Alekserov sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Alekserov tries to keep the action at long range.  Rees sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Alekserov lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Rees tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Alekserov's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
