Charles Cathcart vs Edward Armani

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 11/02/2038 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Charles Cathcart (7 - 5) who hails from New York City, USA and Edward Armani(1 - 1) from New Orleans, USA.

Cathcart closes the distance.  Cathcart pivots to the right of his opponent, but Armani connects with a right hook.

Cathcart lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cathcart throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Cathcart lands a right hook.  
Cathcart sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.  
Cathcart closes the distance.  Cathcart leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Armani tries to tag Cathcart on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Armani connects with a sharp left hook.  
Armani tries to keep the action at long range.  Cathcart lands a jab to Armani's body.  
Cathcart advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  Cathcart holds on to his opponent.  Armani leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Armani switches the action to the outside.  Cathcart hits home with an overhand right.  
Armani attempts to land a cross, but Cathcart sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cathcart's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.
