Boxing Daily Report from the Belarus National Finals 2038,  taking place on 11/03/2038 from Gomel, Belarus:

The Gomel venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sergey Panin (7 - 6) who hails from Minsk, Belarus and Volodmiri Kozel(16(1) - 4) from Minsk, Belarus.  

Round 1: 

Kozel gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kozel lands a right hook.  
Kozel gets on the inside and digs in a solid left hook to Panin's body.  
Panin is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land an overhand right, but Kozel slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kozel closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Panin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Kozel lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Kozel walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Panin is on target with a cross.  
Panin steps to the outside.  Panin sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a stinging cross.  
Panin steps to the outside.  Panin sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Panin tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Panin's body.  
Kozel is looking to close the distance.  Panin attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Kozel's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Kozel digs in a sharp right uppercut to Panin's ribcage.  
Kozel gets on the inside.  Kozel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kozel throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Kozel is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  Kozel clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Kozel pushes his forearm into Panin's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kozel about fouling.  
Kozel lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Kozel throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook to Kozel's ribcage.  
Kozel advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Panin throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a SAVAGE left hook.  PANIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kozel's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
