Boxing Daily Report from the Ivory Coast National Finals 2038,  taking place on 29/03/2038 from Bouake, Ivory Coast:

The Bouake venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Foster Dreyfus (44(2) - 15) who hails from Bouake, Ivory Coast and Leggett Guimard(19 - 16) from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.  

Round 1: 

Dreyfus is looking to close the distance.  Guimard attempts to land a left hook, but Dreyfus sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Dreyfus tries to land a cross, but Guimard sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Dreyfus's liver.  
Dreyfus steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Guimard quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Dreyfus lands a cross, left hook and a cross to his opponents head.  
Dreyfus advances into close range and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Guimard quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Guimard sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Dreyfus tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Guimard tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Guimard steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Dreyfus is whaling away with hooks, but Guimard keeps his defence tight.  Dreyfus lands with a hard jab.  
Dreyfus is looking to close the distance and digs in a solid right hook to Guimard's ribcage.  
Dreyfus drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Dreyfus clinches his opponent.  Dreyfus leans on his opponent using all his weight. Dreyfus pushes his forearm into Guimard's face.  The ref breaks Dreyfus's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dreyfus quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Guimard steps away from his opponent and tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Dreyfus finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Dreyfus advances into close range.  Dreyfus quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Guimard throws a right hook, but Dreyfus holds on to his opponent.  Dreyfus pushes his forearm into Guimard's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Dreyfus to stop fouling.  
Dreyfus lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Dreyfus sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Dreyfus lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Dreyfus clinches his opponent.  Guimard leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Guimard pushes his forearm into Dreyfus's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Guimard about fouling.  
Dreyfus sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Guimard is on target with a jab.  
Dreyfus pivots to the right of his opponent.  Dreyfus lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Dreyfus holds on to his opponent.  Dreyfus leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Dreyfus throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Guimard almost instantly recovers. 
Dreyfus pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Guimard attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Dreyfus to the neutral corner.  He tells Guimard he will lose a point if he continues to foul.  
Dreyfus attempts to land a left hook, but Guimard slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Dreyfus drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Dreyfus pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head, AND SENDS GUIMARD TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dreyfus's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Dreyfus circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Guimard is on target with a sharp cross.  
Dreyfus quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Guimard throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Dreyfus pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a cross to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Guimard lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Dreyfus lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Dreyfus pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Dreyfus pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm cross.  
Dreyfus lands two straights to the body, and one to the head.  
Dreyfus lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Guimard attempts to land a cross, but Dreyfus slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Dreyfus lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES GUIMARD!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Dreyfus!
