Henry Cruz vs James Altermatt

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 31/03/2038 from Los Angeles, USA:

The Los Angeles venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Henry Cruz (9 - 6) who hails from San Bernardino, USA and James Altermatt(2 - 4) from St. Louis, USA.  

Round 1: 

Altermatt gets on the inside.  Cruz is on target with a left hook.  
Altermatt sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Cruz lands a cross.  
Altermatt advances into close range.  Altermatt sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a solid left hook.  
Cruz is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Altermatt tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Altermatt sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Cruz lands an overhand right.  
Cruz lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Altermatt advances into close range.  Altermatt pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Altermatt lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Cruz is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Altermatt lands a solid overhand left.  
Altermatt manages to force Cruz onto the ropes.  Altermatt pivots from in front of his opponent, but Cruz lands with a stinging jab.  
Altermatt closes the distance.  Altermatt sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a stinging right hook.

Cruz steps away from his opponent.  Altermatt lands a cross.  Altermatt throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Cruz sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Cruz lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Cruz pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Cruz hits home with a left hook.  
Cruz pivots to the side of his opponent.  Cruz attempts to land a jab, but Altermatt slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Altermatt lands a jab.  
Cruz pivots from in front of his opponent, but Altermatt is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Altermatt steps inside.  Cruz is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Cruz tries to land a left uppercut, but Altermatt blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.

Altermatt pivots from in front of his opponent, but Cruz hits home with a left hook.  
Altermatt sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Altermatt sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Altermatt closes the distance.  Altermatt quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Cruz hits home with a left uppercut.  
Altermatt sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Cruz lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
