Boxing Daily Report from the Nigeria National Finals 2038,  taking place on 11/04/2038 from Sapele, Nigeria:

The Sapele venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Elderson Adenowo (24(2) - 21(2)) who hails from Enugu, Nigeria and Ike Ahmed(13 - 13) from Lagos, Nigeria.  

Round 1:

Ahmed is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Ahmed hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Ahmed tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a firm cross.  Ahmed tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Adenowo closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.

Ahmed throws a left hook, but Adenowo holds on to his opponent.  Adenowo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ahmed's kidney. 
Adenowo lands with a stiff jab.
