Boxing Daily Report from the Panama National Finals 2038,  taking place on 11/04/2038 from Panama City, Panama:

The Panama City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Santiago Jaramillo (14(2) - 3(1)) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Xavier Porto(19(11) - 12) from Panama City, Panama.  

Round 1: 

Porto steps inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Jaramillo switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Porto advances into close range.  Jaramillo is on target with a left uppercut to Porto's body.  
Porto advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Porto sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to Jaramillo's body.  
Jaramillo connects with a right uppercut.  Jaramillo tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Jaramillo steps to the outside and lands a spiteful jab.  
Porto gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Jaramillo on the ropes.  Porto quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Porto attempts to land a right hook, but Jaramillo blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Jaramillo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Jaramillo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a sharp cross.  
Jaramillo lands a straight 1 - 2.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Jaramillo tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a jab, but Porto dodges the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Porto gets on the inside.  Porto sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND JARAMILLO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Porto whips in a big right hook to his opponents body.  JARAMILLO IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Jaramillo has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Jaramillo is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Jaramillo hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Jaramillo is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Jaramillo drives a left hook into Porto's liver.  
Porto cuts off the ring, trapping Jaramillo on the ropes.  Porto sidesteps to the right of his opponent and whips in a big right hook to Jaramillo's body.  JARAMILLO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Jaramillo could be stopped here, if Porto can find the right shot!  Porto lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, DROPPING JARAMILLO TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Jaramillo now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Jaramillo tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.  
Jaramillo tries to land a left hook, but Porto dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Jaramillo switches the action to the outside and lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Porto advances into close range and forces Jaramillo to retreat into a neutral corner.  Jaramillo throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Jaramillo tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Porto steps inside and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  Porto tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Jaramillo steps away from his opponent and lands a cross to the head, a cross to the body and an overhand right to the head.  
Jaramillo switches the action to the outside and hits home with a spiteful jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jaramillo's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Jaramillo is looking to keep his distance.  Porto knows Jaramillo is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Porto lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Porto is looking to close the distance and walks Jaramillo onto the ropes.  Porto lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DOWN GOES JARAMILLO!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Jaramillo now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Porto steps inside and throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Porto clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Porto pushes his forearm into Jaramillo's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Porto to stop fouling.  
Jaramillo steps away from his opponent and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Porto is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Porto ties up his opponent.  Porto is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Porto's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Jaramillo tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab.  Jaramillo attempts to land an overhand left, but Porto slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Porto lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  Porto ties up his opponent.  Porto is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Jaramillo pushes his forearm into Porto's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Jaramillo to stop fouling.
