Boxing Daily Report from the Puerto Rico National Finals 2038,  taking place on 11/04/2038 from San Juan, Puerto Rico:

The San Juan venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jose Ossa (27(8) - 9) who hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico and Santiago Regalado(13 - 5) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Regalado lands a jab.

Ossa lands a cross to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Ossa is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Ossa clinches his opponent.  Ossa is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ossa about fouling.  
Regalado tries to keep the action at long range.  Regalado sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Ossa is on target with a jab.

Ossa is looking to close the distance.  Ossa pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS REGALADO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  Regalado quickly recovers.
