Boxing Daily Report from the Nicaragua National Finals 2038,  taking place on 14/04/2038 from Leon, Nicaragua:

The Leon venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alejandro Ozuna (20 - 7) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Diego Murillo(25(1) - 18(1)) from Managua, Nicaragua.  

Round 1:

Murillo pivots from in front of his opponent.  Murillo lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Murillo ties up his opponent.  Murillo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Murillo advances into close range.  Ozuna tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Murillo lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Murillo lands a ramrod jab.  
Murillo advances into close range and forces Ozuna to back into the ropes.  Murillo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Murillo tries to land a left uppercut, but Ozuna dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Murillo's body.  
Murillo sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Ozuna connects with a left hook.  
Murillo pivots to the side of his opponent and whips in a hurtful left hook to Ozuna's body.  OZUNA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Ozuna almost instantly recovers. 
Murillo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ozuna tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Murillo cuts off the ring, trapping Ozuna on the ropes.  Murillo pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Ozuna's body.  
Murillo lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND OZUNA IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Ozuna almost instantly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Murillo's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
