Paco Arvelo vs Onofre Tejada

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/04/2038 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:

The Rio de Janeiro venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Paco Arvelo (29 - 2) who hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Onofre Tejada(3 - 21) from Leon, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Arvelo attempts to land a jab, but Tejada blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Tejada pivots to the side of his opponent.  Arvelo attempts to land a jab, but Tejada sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Arvelo gets on the inside.  Arvelo pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Arvelo tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.

Tejada is on target with a cross.  
Tejada throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Tejada manages to force Arvelo onto the ropes.  Tejada pivots to the side of his opponent, but Arvelo is on target with a jab.  
Tejada steps to the outside.  Tejada quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Tejada circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Arvelo lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Arvelo lands a right hook.  
Tejada hits home with a stiff jab.  
Arvelo throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Tejada's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Tejada attempts to land a cross, but Arvelo parries the shot and counters with a firm cross.
