Aaron Wamala vs Brendan Kiberu

Boxing Daily Report from the Uganda National Finals 2020,  taking place on 29/04/2020 from Gulu, Uganda:

The Gulu venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Aaron Wamala (9 - 5) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Brendan Kiberu(12 - 3) from Kampala, Uganda.  

Round 1: 

Wamala steps inside.  Kiberu drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Wamala feints a cross, but Kiberu does not fall for it and responds with a right hook to Wamala's body.  
Kiberu is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Kiberu gets on the inside and drives a left uppercut into Wamala's body.  
Wamala steps away from his opponent.  Wamala quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Kiberu closes the distance and walks Wamala into a corner.  Kiberu lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Wamala hits home with a stiff jab.  
Wamala feints a jab, and then is on target with a cross.  
Wamala lands a right hook.  
Kiberu advances into close range and digs in a firm left hook to Wamala's ribs.

Wamala is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Kiberu hits home with a firm overhand right.  Kiberu attempts to land a jab, but Wamala parries the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Wamala is on target with a cross.  
Wamala lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kiberu walks Wamala down, trapping him in the red corner.  Kiberu lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Wamala contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Kiberu throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Wamala sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Wamala gets on the inside.  Kiberu lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Kiberu connects with a cross.  
Kiberu gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Wamala steps away from his opponent.  Wamala is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Kiberu lands three consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.
