Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 23/04/2038 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Robert Wigen (23 - 5) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Jaya Didiet(1 - 2) from Padang, Indonesia.  

Round 1:

Didiet is looking to keep his distance.  Didiet lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Wigen throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Didiet pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Didiet pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Wigen steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Wigen tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Wigen steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  Wigen attempts to land an overhand right, but Didiet blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Didiet throws a right hook, but Wigen holds on to his opponent.  Didiet leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Didiet tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Wigen behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Didiet.  
Wigen walks Didiet onto the ropes.  Wigen pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Wigen steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Wigen steps inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Didiet slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Wigen lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Wigen advances into close range.  Wigen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Wigen connects with a left hook.  Wigen clinches his opponent.  Wigen is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Wigen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Wigen tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a stiff jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Wigen's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
