Taro Orio vs Yuji Kojima

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/05/2038 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Taro Orio (1 - 5) who hails from Hachioji, Japan and Yuji Kojima(2 - 7) from Sendai, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Kojima is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.  
Kojima lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Kojima steps away from his opponent.  Orio attempts to land a jab, but Kojima sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Orio drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Kojima sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Orio digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Orio manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Orio attempts to land a left uppercut, but Kojima slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Orio throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kojima connects with a solid right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kojima's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Orio manages to force Kojima into the corner.  Orio lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Kojima steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Kojima is looking to keep his distance.  Kojima sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Orio advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Kojima on the ropes.  Orio throws a right uppercut, but Kojima holds on to his opponent.  Kojima is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Kojima and breaks the clinch.  
Kojima feints a right hook, and then is on target with a jab.  
Kojima drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Kojima lands a stinging right uppercut.  
Kojima tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab.  
Orio tries to land a cross, but Kojima dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Orio connects with a sharp cross.  
Orio closes the distance and walks Kojima into a corner.  Kojima throws a right hook, but is off-target.  Kojima holds on to his opponent.  Kojima leans on his opponent using all his weight. Orio is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Orio's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!
