Felix Wood vs Flannery Villon

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 16/05/2038 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Felix Wood (27(3) - 16) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Flannery Villon(14 - 8) from Abobo, Ivory Coast.  

Round 1: 

Villon is looking to close the distance.  Wood lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Villon closes the distance.  Wood attempts to land a right uppercut, but Villon parries the shot and counters with a cross.

Villon gets on the inside and manouvers Wood into the corner.  Villon connects with a left uppercut.

Villon gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Wood ties up his opponent.  Wood leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Villon forces Wood to back into the blue corner.  Wood is on target with a firm left hook.  
Villon drives a left uppercut into Wood's body.  Wood clinches his opponent.  Villon pushes his forearm into Wood's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Villon gets on the inside.  Wood digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Villon sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Wood lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Villon closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.

Wood steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Wood throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Villon gets on the inside and forces Wood to retreat onto the ropes.  Wood drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Wood switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Villon gets on the inside.  Wood is on target with a right hook to Villon's body.  
Wood sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Villon is on target with a right hook.  
Villon throws a left hook, but Wood holds on to his opponent.  Villon pushes his forearm into Wood's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Wood tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Villon advances into close range and digs in a right uppercut to Wood's body.
