Boxing Daily Report from the Zambia National Finals 2020,  taking place on 02/05/2020 from Kitwe, Zambia:

The Kitwe venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are La Vonn Kakoza (13 - 4) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Shontae Mungandu(15 - 1) from Kitwe, Zambia.  

Round 1: 

Mungandu contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Kakoza lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Kakoza manages to force Mungandu onto the ropes.  Kakoza pivots to the left of his opponent.  Kakoza attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Mungandu time to recover.  
Kakoza pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Kakoza pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Mungandu's liver.  
Kakoza tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Mungandu lands a jab.  
Kakoza is on target with a jab.  
Kakoza steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Kakoza tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Kakoza steps inside and connects with a right uppercut.  
Kakoza connects with a cross.  
Kakoza steps inside.  Kakoza sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Mungandu tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a cross.  
Kakoza closes the distance and manages to force Mungandu onto the ropes.  Kakoza pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kakoza closes the distance.  Kakoza pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kakoza steps to the outside.  Mungandu tries to land a jab, but Kakoza dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Kakoza gets on the inside.  Kakoza voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Mungandu accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Kakoza.  
Mungandu steps to the outside and lands an overhand left.  
Mungandu pivots from in front of his opponent, but Kakoza is on target with a jab.  
Mungandu steps to the outside and lands a firm cross.  
Kakoza advances into close range and lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kakoza advances into close range.  Mungandu pivots to the side of his opponent, but Kakoza lands a right hook.  
Kakoza throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Mungandu tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land an overhand left, but Kakoza sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mungandu throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Mungandu pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a cross to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Mungandu switches the action to the outside.  Kakoza lands a jab to the body, an overhand left to the head and a jab to the head.  
Kakoza is on target with a cross.

Kakoza steps inside and lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Mungandu throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kakoza connects with a right uppercut.  
Kakoza drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.  
Kakoza advances into close range.  Mungandu hits home with a solid right hook.  
Kakoza is on target with a left hook.  
Mungandu is looking to keep his distance.  Mungandu feints a jab and triggers a right uppercut counter from Kakoza.  Mungandu is waiting for the shot and counters with a firm cross.
