Sammy Ingles vs John Alcazar

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 29/05/2038 from Las Vegas, USA:

The Las Vegas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sammy Ingles (35(1) - 9) who hails from Reno, USA and John Alcazar(0 - 2) from Albuquerque, USA.  

Round 1: 

Ingles steps inside.  Alcazar lands a right hook.  
Ingles lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ingles hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Alcazar switches the action to the outside.  Ingles lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Ingles is on target with a jab.  
Ingles closes the distance and walks Alcazar onto the ropes.  Ingles sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Alcazar goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Ingles time to recover.

Ingles throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Ingles clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Ingles pushes his forearm into Alcazar's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Ingles closes the distance.  Alcazar throws a left hook, but Ingles holds on to his opponent.  Ingles is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ingles about fouling.

Alcazar waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Ingles attempts to land a jab, but Alcazar blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

Ingles steps inside.  Alcazar drives a right uppercut into Ingles's body.  Ingles clinches his opponent.  Ingles is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Ingles steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Alcazar pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a sharp cross.  
Alcazar tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ingles lands a stinging overhand right.  
Ingles is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Ingles steps inside and drives a firm left hook into Alcazar's body.  
Alcazar lands a right hook.  
Ingles gets on the inside.  Alcazar lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ingles's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.
