The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Edward Mingus (12 - 10) who hails from New York City, USA and John Tolmie(1 - 14) from Detroit, USA.

Mingus throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Mingus holds on to his opponent.  Mingus tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Tolmie behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mingus lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mingus forces Tolmie to retreat onto the ropes.  Mingus hits home with a left hook.  
Mingus is on target with a firm right hook to Tolmie's body.  Mingus clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Mingus pushes his forearm into Tolmie's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Mingus sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mingus is on target with a stinging right hook to Tolmie's body.  Mingus clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Mingus pushes his forearm into Tolmie's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mingus.  
Mingus steps inside and is on target with a firm left hook to Tolmie's ribs.  
Mingus gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Tolmie steps to the outside.  Mingus connects with an overhand left.  
Mingus connects with a firm overhand right.  
Mingus advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Mingus gets on the inside.  Mingus pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to Tolmie's body.  
Mingus lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

Mingus is on target with a right uppercut to Tolmie's ribs.  
Tolmie tries to land a jab, but Mingus slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Mingus digs in a left hook to Tolmie's body.  
Mingus is on target with a left hook.  
Mingus lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Mingus connects with a left uppercut.  Mingus clinches his opponent.  Mingus is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Mingus's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mingus manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Mingus is on target with a left uppercut.  Mingus ties up his opponent.  Mingus uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Tolmie behind the head. The ref breaks Mingus's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mingus lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS TOLMIE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Tolmie cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Mingus!
