Isamu Kawai vs Aoi Horiuchi

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 16/08/2038 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Isamu Kawai (28 - 3) who hails from Chofu, Japan and Aoi Horiuchi(2 - 3) from Kitakyushu, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Horiuchi steps inside.  Kawai connects with a firm right hook.

Horiuchi advances into close range.  Horiuchi pivots to the side of his opponent.  Horiuchi throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Horiuchi pivots to the right of his opponent.  Kawai throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Horiuchi switches the action to the outside.  Kawai is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kawai's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.

Kawai is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kawai circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Horiuchi is on target with a cross.  
Kawai drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Kawai steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Horiuchi lands an overhand left.  
Horiuchi tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kawai lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Kawai pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Kawai switches the action to the outside.  Kawai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Horiuchi finds the target with a stiff jab.
