The Montreal venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are James Pugh (37(2) - 11) who hails from Quebec City, Canada and Corey Samuel(7 - 14) from Montreal, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Pugh closes the distance.  Pugh sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Pugh advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pugh lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Pugh attempts to land a right uppercut, but Samuel blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.

Pugh steps inside.  Samuel connects with a solid left hook.  Pugh holds on to his opponent.  Pugh is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Pugh uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Samuel behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pugh about fouling.  
Samuel is on target with a stiff jab.  
Pugh manouvers Samuel into a neutral corner.  Samuel throws a left hook, but Pugh holds on to his opponent.  Pugh leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Pugh's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pugh lands a jab.  
Samuel sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Pugh finds the target with a jab.  
Samuel attempts to land a jab, but Pugh slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Samuel pivots to the right of his opponent.  Samuel attempts to land a jab, but Pugh slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Pugh walks Samuel down, trapping him in the corner.  Pugh digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Samuel throws a right hook, but Pugh clinches his opponent.  Samuel uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Pugh behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Samuel.  
Pugh steps inside.  Samuel throws a right hook, but Pugh holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pugh pushes his forearm into Samuel's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Samuel pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.

Pugh quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Samuel digs in a solid right uppercut to Pugh's ribcage.  Pugh ties up his opponent.  Pugh pushes his forearm into Samuel's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pugh to stop fouling.  
Pugh steps inside.  Pugh pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pugh closes the distance and lands a left hook.  
Pugh pivots to the left of his opponent, but Samuel lands a left hook.  
Pugh closes the distance.  Pugh goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Samuel's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
