Gerard Cabal vs Dave Hew

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 08/12/2038 from Quebec City, Canada:

The Quebec City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gerard Cabal (32 - 6) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Dave Hew(2 - 10) from Vaughan, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Cabal advances into close range.  Cabal leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Hew tries to tag Cabal on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Hew hits home with a right hook.  
Hew is looking to keep his distance and hits home with an overhand right.  
Cabal throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Cabal gets on the inside.  Hew pivots to the right of his opponent.  Cabal attempts to land a right hook, but Hew slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hew throws a right hook, but Cabal holds on to his opponent.  Cabal uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hew behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cabal to stop fouling.  
Cabal closes the distance and is on target with a solid left hook.  
Hew hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Hew pivots to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Cabal steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hew lands a left hook.  
Cabal is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  Cabal clinches his opponent.  Cabal leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
