Joseph Erwood vs John Devlin

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 25/12/2038 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joseph Erwood (24 - 9) who hails from Tampa, USA and John Devlin(1 - 6) from Chicago, USA.  

Round 1: 

Erwood lands with a hard jab.  
Devlin gets on the inside and walks Erwood into a corner.  Devlin is on target with a left hook to Erwood's body.  
Devlin tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Devlin advances into close range.  Erwood hits home with a right hook.

Erwood sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Devlin tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Erwood feints a left hook, and then lands an overhand right, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Devlin throws a left hook, but Erwood ties up his opponent.  Erwood is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Erwood and breaks the clinch.  
Devlin gets on the inside.  Erwood lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Erwood tries to step out of his opponents range.  Erwood feints a jab, fooling Devlin into throwing a right hook counter.  Erwood is waiting for the shot and counters with a cross.  
Erwood feints a left, and then finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Devlin lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Devlin is on target with an overhand right.  
Erwood lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Erwood lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Devlin advances into close range.  Erwood lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Erwood lands a left hook.  Erwood throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Devlin throws a left hook, but Erwood clinches his opponent.  Erwood leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Erwood's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Erwood feints a right hook, and then attempts to land a cross, but Devlin slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Erwood is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Devlin steps inside.  Erwood drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Devlin hits home with a left uppercut.
