Diego Marcelo vs James Colden

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 30/12/2038 from Buenos Aires, Argentina:

The Buenos Aires venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Marcelo (11 - 2) who hails from La Plata, Argentina and James Colden(2 - 8) from Melbourne, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Marcelo backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Colden tries to tag Marcelo on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Marcelo strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Marcelo is looking to close the distance.  Colden hits home with a left uppercut.  
Marcelo lands a left uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Marcelo tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a firm overhand right.  Marcelo tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Marcelo's body.

Colden sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Marcelo finds the target with a jab.  
Colden feints a left hook, and then connects with a cross.  
Colden sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Marcelo hits home with a left uppercut.  
Marcelo steps to the outside and lands an overhand right.  
Marcelo gets on the inside and drives a right hook into Colden's body.  Marcelo attempts to land a right hook, but Colden slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Colden lands a jab.  Colden throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Marcelo steps inside and is on target with a left hook to Colden's body.  
Colden sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Marcelo is on target with a left hook.  
Colden sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Marcelo lands a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Marcelo's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
