Joe Leishman vs David Hilton

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/01/2039 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joe Leishman (68 - 10) who hails from Tallahassee, USA and David Hilton(0 - 8) from Baltimore, USA.  

Round 1: 

Leishman lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Leishman advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hilton throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Leishman pivots to the side of his opponent.  Hilton throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Leishman steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Leishman ties up his opponent.  Leishman pushes his forearm into Hilton's face.  The referee warns Leishman and breaks the clinch.  
Hilton attempts to land a right hook, but Leishman blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Leishman feints a right hook, and then lands with a ramrod jab.  
Leishman closes the distance and digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Leishman tries to land a right hook, but Hilton blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Leishman gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Leishman ties up his opponent.  Leishman leans on his opponent using all his weight. Hilton hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hilton.  
Hilton tries to land a right hook, but Leishman slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Leishman lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.

Leishman sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Hilton is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Leishman's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
