Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/02/2039 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Elias Abeita (51(2) - 7) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Montenegro Correira(1 - 1) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  

Round 1: 

Abeita is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Correira is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Abeita lands an overhand right.  
Abeita steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Abeita is on target with a right hook to Correira's body.

Abeita advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Abeita walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Abeita lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Abeita lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Abeita gets on the inside.  Correira lands a right hook.  
Abeita is on target with a jab.  
Abeita lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Correira throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Abeita forces Correira to retreat onto the ropes.  Abeita lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Abeita attempts to land a right hook, but Correira blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Abeita throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Abeita clinches his opponent.  Correira pushes his forearm into Abeita's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Abeita pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Correira's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Correira contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Abeita drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Abeita feints a left hook, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Abeita manouvers Correira onto the ropes.  Correira connects with a stinging left uppercut.  
Abeita steps inside.  Abeita sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Abeita steps inside and connects with a right hook.  
Correira tries to land a right hook, but Abeita sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Abeita steps inside and drives a left hook into Correira's body.  
Correira throws a left hook, but Abeita clinches his opponent.  Abeita leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Correira is on target with a jab.  
Abeita gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  Abeita holds on to his opponent.  Correira is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Correira.  
Abeita lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Abeita lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Abeita is on target with a stinging left hook to Correira's ribs.  
Abeita gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to Correira's body.  
Abeita closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Correira throws a right hook, but Abeita ties up his opponent.  Abeita is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Abeita's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
