Daiki Takagi vs Mitsuru Sawaya

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/02/2039 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Daiki Takagi (23 - 5) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Mitsuru Sawaya(1 - 8) from Tokyo, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Takagi steps inside and lands a firm left hook.  
Takagi walks his opponent into a corner.  Takagi lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Takagi lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Takagi digs in a stinging right hook to Sawaya's ribs.  
Sawaya quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Sawaya steps away from his opponent.  Sawaya sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Takagi lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Takagi steps inside.  Takagi sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Takagi throws a right hook, but is not on target.  Takagi holds on to his opponent.  Sawaya pushes his forearm into Takagi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sawaya.  
Takagi advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Takagi clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Takagi pushes his forearm into Sawaya's face.  The ref breaks Takagi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Takagi forces Sawaya to back into the corner.  Takagi hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Takagi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Sawaya throws a left uppercut, but Takagi holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Takagi pushes his forearm into Sawaya's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Takagi to stop fouling.  
Takagi is on target with a left uppercut.  
Takagi attempts to land a right hook, but Sawaya slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Takagi digs in a solid left hook to Sawaya's ribs.  
Takagi hits home with a left hook.  
Sawaya pivots from in front of his opponent, but Takagi connects with a cross.  
Takagi is looking to close the distance.  Sawaya attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Takagi time to recover.  
Takagi lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
Sawaya pivots to the right of his opponent, but Takagi is on target with a sharp cross.  
Takagi lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Takagi digs in a right hook to his opponents body.
