Leonardo Vigorito vs Anthony McDermott

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 16/02/2039 from San Miguelito, Panama:

The San Miguelito venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Leonardo Vigorito (10 - 5) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Anthony McDermott(1 - 4) from Dublin, Ireland.  

Round 1: 

Vigorito advances into close range.  Vigorito pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
McDermott tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Vigorito pivots to the right of his opponent.  Vigorito attempts to land a right hook, but McDermott blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Vigorito is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Vigorito pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Vigorito retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  McDermott accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Vigorito.  
Vigorito is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Vigorito gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  
McDermott sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Vigorito digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Vigorito steps inside and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
McDermott throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Vigorito's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.
