Gerard Cabal vs Owen Barrie

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 22/02/2039 from Quebec City, Canada:

The Quebec City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gerard Cabal (35 - 6) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Owen Barrie(4 - 15(1)) from Edmonton, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Barrie gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  
Cabal hits home with a stiff jab.  
Cabal lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cabal drives a left hook into Barrie's body.  
Barrie manages to force Cabal into the blue corner.  Barrie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Barrie closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Cabal lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Barrie is on target with a left uppercut to Cabal's liver.  
Barrie attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Cabal's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Cabal drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cabal's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Barrie gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Barrie sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Cabal lands a stinging jab.  
Cabal tries to step out of his opponents range.  Cabal feints a cross, and then lands a cross.  
Barrie steps inside.  Cabal lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Cabal is looking to keep his distance.  Cabal feints a right, and then hits the target with a hard jab.  
Barrie finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Cabal lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Barrie throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Cabal is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right.  
Barrie closes the distance.  Cabal hits home with a right uppercut.  
Cabal lands a stinging jab.  
Barrie sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cabal tries to land a left hook, but Barrie slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Barrie tries to land a right uppercut, but Cabal sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Cabal steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Barrie tries to tag Cabal on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Barrie is on target with a right hook.  
Barrie gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Cabal switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Barrie gets on the inside and lands a sharp right hook.  Barrie tries to land a right uppercut, but Cabal blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Cabal tries to keep the action at long range and throws an overhand right, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Barrie's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Barrie is looking to close the distance.  Cabal hits home with a left hook.  
Cabal switches the action to the outside and lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Cabal lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Barrie advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  Cabal ties up his opponent.  Barrie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Barrie to stop fouling.  
Cabal attempts to land a jab, but Barrie slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Cabal lands with a sharp jab.  
Cabal is on target with a right hook to Barrie's body.  
Barrie gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut.  Cabal clinches his opponent.  Barrie tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cabal behind the head. The referee warns Barrie and breaks the clinch.
