Richard Egerton vs Gethin Whiteford

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 23/02/2039 from El Paso, USA:

The El Paso venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Richard Egerton (12 - 2) who hails from San Antonio, USA and Gethin Whiteford(1 - 5) from Honolulu, USA.  

Round 1: 

Whiteford advances into close range.  Egerton digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Whiteford walks Egerton onto the ropes.  Whiteford sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but  attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Whiteford time to recover.  
Egerton lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Egerton tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Whiteford is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Egerton lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Whiteford tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Whiteford closes the distance and tries to land a left hook, but Egerton blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Whiteford is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Egerton's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
