Leonel Portillo vs Zelipe Peron

Boxing Daily Report from the Chile National Finals 2039,  taking place on 11/03/2039 from San Bernardo, Chile:

The San Bernardo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Leonel Portillo (22(5) - 10) who hails from Maipu, Chile and Zelipe Peron(14 - 18) from Viba del Mar, Chile.  

Round 1: 

Portillo closes the distance.  Peron throws a left hook, but Portillo clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Portillo pushes his forearm into Peron's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Portillo about fouling.

Peron is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Portillo tries to land a cross, but Peron blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.

Portillo lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Portillo tries to land a right hook, but Peron sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Peron quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Portillo hits home with a spiteful jab.

Portillo steps inside.  Portillo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Peron quickly recovers. 
Portillo walks Peron onto the ropes.  Portillo is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Portillo digs in a solid left uppercut to Peron's body.  
Portillo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Portillo lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Portillo clinches his opponent.  Peron tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Portillo behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Peron.  
Portillo manouvers Peron onto the ropes.  Portillo is looking to force the stoppage!  Portillo lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND KNOCKS PERON DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Peron now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Portillo hits home with a firm left uppercut.
