Paul Speedy vs Sid Pollick

Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2039,  taking place on 26/03/2039 from Georgetown, Guyana:

The Georgetown venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Paul Speedy (30 - 12(1)) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Sid Pollick(9 - 8) from New Amsterdam, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Pollick walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Pollick throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Pollick closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Pollick is on target with a right hook.  
Pollick tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pollick closes the distance and drives a sharp right hook into Speedy's ribcage.  Pollick throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Speedy tries to step out of his opponents range.  Pollick lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Speedy is on target with a solid jab.  
Speedy is looking to keep his distance.  Speedy feints a left hook, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Pollick closes the distance and drives a right hook into Speedy's body.

Speedy throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Speedy ties up his opponent.  Pollick pushes his forearm into Speedy's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pollick about fouling.  
Pollick attempts to land a left hook, but Speedy slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Pollick's liver.  
Speedy steps to the outside.  Speedy feints a right, and then hits home with a cross.

Pollick steps inside and throws a left hook, but Speedy clinches his opponent.  Pollick leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Speedy waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Pollick lands a cross to his opponents body.  Pollick tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Pollick tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Speedy connects with a cross.  
Speedy switches the action to the outside and drives a ramrod jab into his opponents face.  
Pollick tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Pollick gets on the inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Pollick lands a left uppercut.  
Pollick digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Speedy switches the action to the outside.  Pollick hits home with a solid jab.  Pollick attempts to land a cross, but Speedy sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Pollick advances into close range and is on target with a solid left hook.  
Pollick gets on the inside.  Speedy lands a left hook.  
Speedy is looking to keep his distance.  Speedy feints a right hook, and then is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Speedy backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Pollick digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Pollick tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Pollick advances into close range and tries to land a left uppercut, but Speedy slips the shot and counters with a mean right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE POLLICK WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Speedy switches the action to the outside.  Speedy knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Speedy lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES POLLICK!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  
Speedy DETONATES a nasty left hook on his opponents face.  POLLICK IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Speedy!
