Boxing Daily Report from the Ireland National Finals 2039,  taking place on 29/03/2039 from Drogheda, Ireland:

The Drogheda venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Flyweight divison.

McCrory switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right.  
McCrory tries to keep the action at long range.  Fitzgerald lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
McCrory connects with a right hook.  
Fitzgerald lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  McCrory recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Fitzgerald is on target with a firm cross.  
Fitzgerald sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Fitzgerald switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Fitzgerald EXPLODES a HUGE cross into his opponents face.  MCCRORY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  McCrory almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Fitzgerald is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
Fitzgerald manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Fitzgerald hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  Fitzgerald ties up his opponent.  Fitzgerald leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Fitzgerald pushes his forearm into McCrory's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
McCrory is looking to keep his distance.  McCrory quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Fitzgerald hits home with a solid cross.  
Fitzgerald closes the distance.  McCrory drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  Fitzgerald clinches his opponent.  Fitzgerald leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Fitzgerald's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Fitzgerald digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Fitzgerald manages to force McCrory onto the ropes.  Fitzgerald quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a sharp right uppercut.  
Fitzgerald lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
McCrory is looking to keep his distance.  Fitzgerald throws an overhand left, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Fitzgerald steps inside and manouvers McCrory onto the ropes.  Fitzgerald attempts to land a left uppercut, but McCrory blocks the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
McCrory lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fitzgerald's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight.
