Boxing Daily Report from the Lithuania National Finals 2039,  taking place on 11/04/2039 from Vilnius, Lithuania:

The Vilnius venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Idzi Wanta (45(3) - 17(2)) who hails from Vilnius, Lithuania and Martyn Talaga(27 - 20) from Vilnius, Lithuania.  

Round 1: 

Wanta is looking to close the distance.  Talaga lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Talaga steps to the outside.  Wanta finds the target with a jab.  
Wanta steps inside.  Wanta retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Talaga steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Wanta lands a spiteful jab.  
Wanta steps inside.  Talaga throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Talaga pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Wanta is looking to close the distance.  Talaga attempts to land a right hook, but Wanta dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Wanta digs in a left hook to Talaga's body.  
Talaga hits home with a firm right uppercut.  
Wanta tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Wanta lands a hard jab.  
Wanta advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Wanta gets on the inside.  Talaga sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Wanta lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.

Wanta lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Talaga throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Talaga's ribs.  
Wanta hits home with a right hook.  Wanta ties up his opponent.  Talaga is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Wanta pushes his forearm into Talaga's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Wanta about fouling.  
Talaga lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Wanta gets on the inside.  Talaga drives a right hook into Wanta's body.  Wanta holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Wanta steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Talaga pivots to the left of his opponent, but Wanta connects with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Wanta's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Wanta is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a potent cross.  TALAGA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Wanta knows Talaga is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Wanta DETONATES a MASSIVE cross on his opponents face.  TALAGA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Talaga now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Wanta snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.

Talaga pivots to the side of his opponent, but Wanta lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS TALAGA TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Wanta!
