Juan Veras vs Declan Apanapao

Boxing Daily Report from the Philippines National Finals 2039,  taking place on 11/04/2039 from Taguig, Philippines:

The Taguig venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Juan Veras (31(14) - 7) who hails from Taguig, Philippines and Declan Apanapao(21 - 15) from Quezon City, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Veras lands with a sharp jab.  
Apanapao drives a stinging cross into his opponents body.  
Veras manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Veras lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Veras sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Apanapao throws a right hook, but Veras clinches his opponent.  Apanapao is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Apanapao gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Apanapao digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.

Apanapao quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Veras digs in a sharp left hook to Apanapao's body.  Veras throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Apanapao's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Veras steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Apanapao lands a jab.  
Veras closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Apanapao connects with a sharp right uppercut.  
Apanapao pivots from in front of his opponent, but Veras is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Veras gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Apanapao is on target with a stinging right uppercut to Veras's ribs.  
Veras connects with a left hook.

Veras closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body, AND DROPS APANAPAO TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Apanapao tries to land a jab, but Veras parries the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Veras closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Veras holds on to his opponent.  Veras is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Veras's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Veras drives a firm left hook into Apanapao's ribs.  
Apanapao attempts to land a jab, but Veras dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Veras closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Veras slams a hurtful right hook into Apanapao's ribs.  APANAPAO IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Veras clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Apanapao pushes his forearm into Veras's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Apanapao to stop fouling.  
Veras lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Apanapao quickly recovers. 
Veras is looking to close the distance.  Apanapao connects with a right hook.  Apanapao tries to land a right hook, but Veras slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Apanapao throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Veras advances into close range and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Veras lands a right hook.  
Veras is on target with a firm left hook to Apanapao's liver.  
Veras lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Apanapao quickly recovers. 
Veras drives a right hook into Apanapao's body.  
Veras hits home with a solid right hook.  Veras holds on to his opponent.  Apanapao is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Veras throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Veras slams a hurtful left hook into his opponents liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE APANAPAO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Apanapao almost instantly recovers. 
Apanapao hits home with a stinging right uppercut.  
Apanapao sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Veras is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Veras is on target with a cross.  
Veras is looking to close the distance and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Apanapao's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!
