Boxing Daily Report from the Nicaragua National Finals 2039,  taking place on 14/04/2039 from Masaya, Nicaragua:

The Masaya venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jax Abalos (42(1) - 20(3)) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Joaquin Valeriano(2 - 11) from Managua, Nicaragua.  

Round 1:

Abalos is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Valeriano hits home with a sharp jab.  
Valeriano walks Abalos down, trapping him on the ropes.  Abalos is on target with a firm cross.  
Abalos lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Abalos leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Valeriano steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.

Abalos is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Abalos lands a right hook, left hook and a cross to his opponents head, AND SENDS VALERIANO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Valeriano now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Abalos connects with a MASSIVE cross.  VALERIANO IS HURT!  Abalos attempts to land a cross, but Valeriano blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Abalos's body.  
Valeriano throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a mean left uppercut.  VALERIANO IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Abalos!
