Diego Murillo vs Santiago Villalon

Boxing Daily Report from the Nicaragua National Finals 2039,  taking place on 17/04/2039 from Masaya, Nicaragua:

The Masaya venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Diego Murillo (34(3) - 18(1)) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Santiago Villalon(7 - 5(2)) from Leon, Nicaragua.  

Round 1: 

Murillo is looking to close the distance.  Villalon connects with a right uppercut.  Villalon tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Murillo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Murillo manouvers Villalon into a neutral corner.  Murillo hits home with a right hook.  
Murillo pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Murillo lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Villalon quickly recovers. 
Murillo pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a sharp right uppercut into Villalon's body.  
Murillo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Murillo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Murillo closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Murillo pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Murillo pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND VILLALON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Villalon recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Villalon is looking to keep his distance and snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Murillo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Murillo pivots to the side of his opponent, but Villalon is on target with a left hook to Murillo's liver.  
Murillo lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Villalon quickly recovers. 
Murillo lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Murillo advances into close range and lands a sharp right hook.  
Murillo snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Murillo closes the distance and digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Murillo retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Villalon steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Villalon attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Murillo time to recover.  
Villalon digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Murillo connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Murillo lands a firm cross.

Murillo lands a hard jab.  
Murillo closes the distance.  Villalon throws a left hook, but Murillo clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Murillo pushes his forearm into Villalon's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Murillo lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Villalon almost instantly recovers. 
Villalon steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Murillo lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Murillo ties up his opponent.  Murillo pushes his forearm into Villalon's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Murillo about fouling.  
Murillo closes the distance.  Villalon pivots to the right of his opponent, but Murillo lands a left hook.  
Villalon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Murillo hits home with a left hook.  Murillo clinches his opponent.  Murillo leans on his opponent using all his weight. Murillo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Villalon behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Murillo.  
Murillo lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND VILLALON IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Villalon quickly recovers. 
Murillo is on target with a jab.  
Villalon steps away from his opponent and tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a FIERCE left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE VILLALON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Murillo thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Villalon away.  Murillo lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, AND DROPS VILLALON!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Murillo!
