Carlos Platero vs Edmundo Macera

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 31/05/2039 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Carlos Platero (24 - 4) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Edmundo Macera(5 - 5) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Macera closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Macera forces Platero to retreat into the corner.  Platero is on target with a jab.  
Macera steps inside.  Macera attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Platero's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Macera advances into close range.  Platero is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Macera connects with a cross.  
Platero tries to keep the action at long range.  Platero feints a jab, and then hits home with a cross.  Platero tries to land an overhand right, but Macera sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Platero lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Macera is looking to close the distance.  Platero lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.
