Andy Saul vs Fausto Morones

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 23/06/2039 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Andy Saul (79(15) - 11) who hails from Saint Paul, USA and Fausto Morones(5 - 12(3)) from Leon, Nicaragua.  

Round 1: 

Saul connects with a solid cross.  
Saul connects with a solid right hook.  
Morones sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a sharp cross.  
Saul attempts to land a left hook, but Morones dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Morones lands with a stinging jab.  Morones tries to land a jab, but Saul sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Saul is looking to close the distance.  Saul quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Saul throws a left hook, but is off-target.  Saul holds on to his opponent.  Saul tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Morones behind the head. 
Saul quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Saul lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Saul holds on to his opponent.  Saul hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Saul closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Saul ties up his opponent.  Morones pushes his forearm into Saul's face.  The referee warns Morones and breaks the clinch.  
Saul gets on the inside.  Morones hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Morones pivots to the right of his opponent.  Morones attempts to land a jab, but Saul blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Morones hits home with a cross.  
Saul is looking to close the distance.  Morones throws a right hook, but Saul holds on to his opponent.  Saul tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Morones behind the head. The ref breaks Saul's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Saul lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Morones lands a left hook.  Saul clinches his opponent.  Saul leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Saul is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Saul lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Saul quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and whips in a mean right hook to his opponents body.  MORONES IS HURT!  Morones recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Morones manouvers Saul into a neutral corner.  Saul digs in a right hook to Morones's ribs.

Saul steps inside.  Saul pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Saul is looking to close the distance and hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Morones switches the action to the outside.  Saul lands a jab.  
Saul lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Morones attempts to land a jab, but Saul sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Saul hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Saul lands a right hook followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Morones lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Saul lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Saul steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, DROPPING MORONES TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Saul pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm right uppercut to Morones's body.  
Saul closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Saul advances into close range.  Morones attempts to land a right hook, but Saul dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Saul drives a right hook into Morones's ribs.  Saul clinches his opponent.  Morones uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Saul behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Saul is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Morones is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Saul is on target with a jab.  
Saul lands a spiteful jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Morones's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Saul gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Morones throws a right uppercut, but Saul clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Saul pushes his forearm into Morones's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Saul drives a right hook into Morones's body.  
Saul crashes a mean left uppercut to his opponents body.  MORONES IS HURT!  
Saul steps inside and slams a mean left hook into Morones's body.  
Saul is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Saul lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a cross to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  It looks like Morones has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Saul steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Saul quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into Morones's body.  
Saul lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Morones almost instantly recovers. 
Saul walks Morones onto the ropes.  Saul connects with a FEARSOME left hook.  MORONES WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Morones almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Saul is on target with a VICIOUS left uppercut.  MORONES IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Saul!
