Sam Ferris vs Hugh Finlayson

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 01/07/2039 from Las Vegas, USA:

The Las Vegas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sam Ferris (11 - 9) who hails from Henderson, USA and Hugh Finlayson(1 - 3) from Anchorage, USA.  

Round 1: 

Finlayson is on target with a jab.  
Ferris finds the target with a jab.  
Finlayson pivots from in front of his opponent, but Ferris lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ferris steps away from his opponent.  Ferris feints a left hook, but Finlayson ignores the feint and responds with a cross.  
Ferris is looking to keep his distance and lands a firm overhand left.  
Ferris sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Ferris lands a left uppercut.  
Ferris throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Finlayson to the neutral corner.  He tells Ferris he will lose a point if he continues to foul.  
Ferris drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
Ferris connects with an overhand left.  
Finlayson tries to land a jab, but Ferris slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Finlayson's ribs.  
Finlayson is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Finlayson sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a solid cross.  
Ferris throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Finlayson tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Ferris sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Finlayson's body.  
Ferris switches the action to the outside and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Finlayson forces Ferris to retreat onto the ropes.  Finlayson connects with a cross.  
Finlayson finds the target with a jab.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Ferris's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win. Finlayson's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Ferris quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a stinging overhand left.

Finlayson sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Ferris is looking to keep his distance.  Ferris feints a left hook, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.
