Olindo Ruedas vs Cody Mugane

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 10/07/2039 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Olindo Ruedas (24 - 4) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Cody Mugane(6 - 11) from Kangundo-Tala, Kenya.  

Round 1: 

Ruedas drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Ruedas steps away from his opponent.  Ruedas feints a right hook, but Mugane is not fooled and responds with a right hook.  
Mugane goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Ruedas's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Ruedas steps away from his opponent.  Ruedas sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mugane attempts to land a jab, but Ruedas dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ruedas is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Mugane is on target with a jab.  
Mugane is looking to keep his distance and is on target with an overhand right.  
Ruedas is looking to close the distance.  Mugane lands a right hook.  
Mugane steps away from his opponent.  Ruedas lands a straight 1 - 2.

Ruedas lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mugane walks Ruedas down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mugane connects with a left hook.  
Mugane pivots from in front of his opponent, but Ruedas is on target with a jab.  
Ruedas switches the action to the outside.  Ruedas drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Mugane attempts to land a cross, but Ruedas slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Ruedas hits home with an overhand left.  
Ruedas finds the target with a hard jab.  
Ruedas lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Ruedas lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Ruedas's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid. Mugane's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!

Ruedas advances into close range.  Mugane digs in a left hook to Ruedas's body.  
Ruedas is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mugane connects with a solid cross.  
Ruedas closes the distance.  Mugane drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  Ruedas holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ruedas hits home with a left hook.  Ruedas clinches his opponent.  Mugane is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Mugane tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ruedas's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ruedas steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Ruedas holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Ruedas pushes his forearm into Mugane's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ruedas about fouling.
