Baltasar Lana vs Orlando Rubi

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 10/07/2039 from Mexico City, Mexico:

The Mexico City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Baltasar Lana (54 - 9) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Orlando Rubi(0 - 1) from Saltillo, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Rubi gets on the inside.  Lana connects with a stinging right hook.

Lana pivots to the side of his opponent.  Lana lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Lana throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Lana steps inside.  Rubi throws a right hook, but Lana holds on to his opponent.  Rubi pushes his forearm into Lana's face.  The ref breaks Lana's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Rubi pivots from in front of his opponent, but Lana is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Lana closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Lana manages to force Rubi into the corner.  Lana hits home with a left hook.  Lana ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Rubi pushes his forearm into Lana's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Rubi.  
Lana drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Rubi lands a left hook.  
Lana lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Lana clinches his opponent.  Lana pushes his forearm into Rubi's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Rubi is on target with a right hook to Lana's ribcage.  
Lana steps inside and throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Lana clinches his opponent.  Lana is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Lana to stop fouling.

Rubi pivots from in front of his opponent, but Lana snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Rubi lands a left hook.  
Lana is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Lana pivots to the right of his opponent.  Rubi throws a left uppercut, but Lana clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Rubi pushes his forearm into Lana's face.  The referee warns Rubi and breaks the clinch.  
Lana throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.
