Sam Durning vs Ethan MacKay

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/08/2039 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sam Durning (17 - 4) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Ethan MacKay(1 - 2) from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.  

Round 1: 

Durning tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Durning drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Durning walks MacKay down, trapping him on the ropes.  Durning lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.

Durning throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Durning holds on to his opponent.  MacKay pushes his forearm into Durning's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns MacKay to stop fouling.  
Durning gets on the inside and digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Durning is on target with a jab.

Durning lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Durning closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Durning ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Durning's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
MacKay connects with a left hook.  Durning clinches his opponent.  MacKay leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
MacKay sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a stinging right hook.

MacKay throws a left hook, but Durning holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Durning pushes his forearm into MacKay's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Durning about fouling.
