Xalvador Abril vs Onofre Caetano

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 23/08/2039 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:

The Rio de Janeiro venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Xalvador Abril (39 - 11) who hails from Sao Goncalo, Brazil and Onofre Caetano(2 - 8) from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  

Round 1: 

Abril closes the distance.  Abril pivots to the side of his opponent.  Caetano throws a left hook, but Abril clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Abril pushes his forearm into Caetano's face.  The ref breaks Abril's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Abril is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Abril gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Abril digs in a firm left hook to Caetano's ribs.

Caetano throws a right uppercut, but Abril holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Caetano pushes his forearm into Abril's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Caetano gets on the inside.  Abril throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Abril ties up his opponent.  Abril is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Abril.

Abril advances into close range.  Caetano tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Abril lands a cross.  
Abril forces Caetano to retreat onto the ropes.  Caetano throws a right hook, but Abril ties up his opponent.  Abril leans on his opponent using all his weight. Abril uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Caetano's kidney. 
Abril steps inside and is on target with a solid right uppercut to Caetano's body.  
Abril drives a left hook into Caetano's body.  
Abril lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Caetano recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Abril lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Caetano could be stopped here, if Abril can find the right shot!  Abril lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND SENDS CAETANO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  It looks like Caetano has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
