Lao-Tzu Zhen vs Fo-hsing Mai

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 04/11/2039 from Qiqihar, China:

The Qiqihar venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Lao-Tzu Zhen (3 - 5) who hails from Harbin, China and Fo-hsing Mai(4 - 7) from Shanghai, China.  

Round 1: 

Mai finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Zhen lands a left hook.  
Mai switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  Mai tries to land a jab, but Zhen slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Zhen attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Mai time to recover.  
Mai pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Mai connects with a left hook.  
Zhen is looking to close the distance.  Zhen throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Mai's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Zhen cuts off the ring, trapping Mai in a neutral corner.  Mai lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Zhen is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Zhen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Mai lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Zhen gets on the inside.  Mai lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mai steps away from his opponent.  Zhen lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Zhen lands a right hook.  
Zhen is looking to close the distance.  Mai lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mai's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.
