Yuichi Hirai vs Mick Saltz

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 03/12/2039 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Yuichi Hirai (66 - 3) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Mick Saltz(1 - 5(2)) from Saint Paul, USA.  

Round 1: 

Hirai gets on the inside.  Hirai pivots from in front of his opponent.  Hirai is on target with a left uppercut.  Hirai tries to land a right uppercut, but Saltz slips the shot and counters with a left hook to Hirai's body.  
Saltz throws a left hook, but Hirai clinches his opponent.  Hirai pushes his forearm into Saltz's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hirai pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Hirai walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Hirai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Hirai backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Saltz accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Hirai.  
Saltz drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Hirai attempts to land a jab, but Saltz sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Saltz pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Saltz hits home with a cross.  
Hirai is on target with a jab.  
Hirai gets on the inside.  Saltz tries to land a left hook, but Hirai slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.

Saltz pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Hirai is on target with a cross.  
Hirai digs in a sharp left uppercut to Saltz's body.  
Saltz throws a left uppercut, but Hirai ties up his opponent.  Saltz pushes his forearm into Hirai's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Saltz.
