Carlos Platero vs Andrii Zobnin

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 05/01/2040 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Carlos Platero (31 - 5) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Andrii Zobnin(0 - 0) from Omsk, Russia.  

Round 1: 

Platero gets on the inside.  Platero sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  
Zobnin attempts to land a jab, but Platero sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Platero gets on the inside.  Platero is on target with a left hook to Zobnin's body.  
Platero digs in a left uppercut to Zobnin's body.  
Platero pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Zobnin gets on the inside and walks Platero down, trapping him on the ropes.  Platero lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Platero ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Zobnin pushes his forearm into Platero's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Zobnin.  
Zobnin drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Platero lands a stiff jab.  
Platero steps away from his opponent.  Platero feints a left hook, and then hits home with a stinging cross.  
Zobnin advances into close range and throws a left hook, but Platero ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Zobnin pushes his forearm into Platero's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Zobnin.  
Platero switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Platero lands a firm overhand right.  
Platero is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right to the head, a jab to the head and a cross to the body.
